Shared PR good practice

This page is a temporary home for examples of good PR practice kindly shared in 2016 when the Central Council's PR Committee asked affiliated societies for their suggestions. The intention is that - when time allows - this information will be moved to a home on the CCCBR website.

Guild Ringing Master's blog (Suffolk Guild - the Suffolk Guild PRO writes: 'Our daily blog by Richard Munnings who started in 2007 when he was elected Ringing Master to try and shed some light on what a Guild Ringing Master actually does and carried it on when he finish his term as ringing master. I think it's excellent as even the president of the CC only manages once a month! So to post every day for nearly nine years and to make every one of them an entertaining & informative read should be celebrated.')

Guild Twitter feed (Suffolk Guild - their PRO writes'I'm also proud of our Guild Twitter Account which I started back in Nov 2013. We now have 180 followers & over 1400 tweets. I use a RSS Feed from BellBoard to tweet all the recorded performance in Suffolk and more importantly to engage with members of public & the local media. I'm particularly pleased when someone tweets how nice it is to hear the bells ringing etc and I'm able to tell them what was being rung, by who, and link them to either our Guild website or bellringing.org for them to find out more about ringing. One instance stands out for me, when a resident of a village tweeted that the bells had been rung both times when he brought home his children after being born about a year apart. This was at a tower that was very rarely rung at making it even more of a coincidence!')

The attached files (below) are also examples of what can be done. Again, when time allows, the links will be updated to make sure all the names are meaningful to the casual viewer
